Apple Search Ads Attribution Missing for Nearly a Month — All Traffic Showing as Organic

Hi RevenueCat team,

I’m experiencing an issue where the Attribution dashboard no longer shows any Apple Search Ads (ASA) keyword data. All traffic is now being classified as “organic,” even though I can clearly see subscription conversions coming from Apple Search Ads in App Store Connect.

The data displayed in RevenueCat seems incorrect or incomplete. My Apple Search Ads setup appears normal, and the app has shown successful conversions. However, RevenueCat has not shown any ASA attribution data for almost a month, and my app code has not changed during that time.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this issue? Why is RevenueCat no longer receiving or displaying Apple Search Ads attribution data?

Hi! I see that you also started a private support ticket and that my coworker, Kaitlin, has responded to that as well. I wanted to re-share her response here as I checked the logs and saw that this issue is still occurring it appears.

Here is what she wrote:

I've checked into our server logs and I see that we are getting occasional errors when attempting to fetch attribution data from Apple:

Invalid client credentials when getting auth token for the Advanced Integration. Something is likely wrong with the Client/Team/Key ID provided by the developer. Client ID: XXXXXX

 
I do see that the Client ID displayed in the error message differs from the one in the ASA integration settings in the RevenueCat dashboard. 
 
Can you check that the credentials added in the dashboard exactly match the ones displayed in the account settings of the API user created in Search Ads? https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/integrations/attribution/apple-search-ads#advanced

 

Note: I removed the Client ID that was present in her message just in case.
