Hi, my app keeps getting rejected from the iOS App Store due to issues with my subscriptions feature. They need the following things:

  1. an account that doesn’t have a subscription active
  2. an account that does have a subscription active
  3. an account with an expired subscription

i can obviously create the first two accounts by just going in the app and either subscribing or not, but how in the world do I simply take a customer (by email) and set their subscription through the RC dashboard? Why is this not straightforward? If anyone knows, the help would be greatly appreciated.

also, if there are any other cases that you’ve seen Apple reject surrounding paywall features, I’d love to hear them so I can plan ahead better as Apple seems to reject as soon as they find one problem rather than giving a report of all problems they found.

Hi! As RevenueCat is not the payment processor, we cannot initiate the subscription on our end in the App Store. Apple reserves that ability. In order to test the expiration flow in Apple’s sandbox environment, here is their documentation on how to test disabling the auto-renewal of a subscription. In terms of your question regarding getting your Paywall approved by Apple, here is our documentation on this topic
