Customer search doesn't work

In the dashboard, searching for a customer doesn’t work, whether by App User ID or by email. My tedious workaround for this is to paste a URL containing the App User ID into the browser, e.g. https://app.revenuecat.com/customers/{projectid}/app_user_id}.

I’m trying to search by clicking on Customers, then entering an app user id or email in the Search lists… box.

Am I doing something wrong, or is search broken? It’s been like this for many weeks.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Thanks for flagging this. I just tested the functionality in the latest Chrome and Safari browsers, and search by both App User ID and email is working on my end. We also don’t have any other active reports of a widespread issue right now.

I’d recommend for you to update your browser to the latest version, then do a hard refresh and clear site data for app.revenuecat.com (cache and cookies) before signing back in. It’s also worth trying an incognito/private window with extensions disabled, or testing in a different browser to rule out any local caching or extension conflicts. While you’re testing, double-check you’re in the correct project, and try submitting an exact App User ID or full email.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Hussain

I’ve done that several times: tested in the latest Safari and Brave on my Mac, no content blockers, cache and cookies cleared, and anonymous/incognito test, all with the same effect—nothing happens. Safari’s content blocker is disabled, and I’m not running any blockers on my network.

The same thing happens in Safari on my iPad.

I’m certain I’m entering the email or App User ID correctly, because for my test I’m clicking on the first customer in the list and then tapping the copy icon to copy the email/App User ID to the clipboard.

In Web Inspector I see quite a few blocked loads due to CORS violations, and a few other errors like `400`s loading a stripe URL. This could have something to do with it.

What’s the best next step?

Hi,

Thanks for all the detailed testing you’ve already done, and for calling out the console observations.

I dug in on my side, and I couldn’t reproduce this in your account or in my own projects. Tested specifically in Google Chrome 141.0.7390.55 on macOS. I also had engineering try to reproduce and they didn’t see a failure. We’re not seeing other reports of a widespread breakage right now, so the next best step is a private ticket where you can share diagnostics.

Could you open a support ticket from your RevenueCat dashboard and share a short screen recording showing Customers -> typing the App User ID/email -> what happens after Enter, and also console log from the browser.

Please don’t share any sensitive information here on the forum. Appreciate your patience.

Best,

Hussain
