$displayName and $email attributes not showing up on Customer dashboard

I updated the $displayName and $email user attributes using the REST API for all my users. However when I go to the customer view on the dashboard those two fields are displaying empty text fields (screenshot below). I also used the REST API to GET the latest user info and the response says that the attributes have been set (snippet of response below). How do I get this data to show up on the Customer dashboard? This info is vital to our customer support team.
