Any recommended approach when you have to disable a subscription and migrate all the existing customers?

Due to a mistaken configuration, we currently have 9 subscriptions for each store. Except for duration, products are similar in terms of benefits offered, while in some cases price can change in a 5% of the overall regions. We would like to disable all the useless subscriptions we are offering and maintain only one annual plan and one monthly plan. I know that current iOS subscribers of the disabled plans won’t have the possibility to renew anymore, while for Android users it depends from a renewal setting. Is there any suggested (and legal) process to follow in order to migrate these customers to one of the existing plans we want to maintain? I am thinking of a communication that their plan will convert in legacy and that they can subscribe to one of the available options. I read about price changes that can work for the 5% mentioned above, but in many cases the price will be maintained so this is not our case. I am interested in both App Store and Play Console approaches, thanks!

Help on major data discrepancy

I am looking for others with possible solutions as I’m seemingly running into brick walls elsewhere.I have been happily running two products with both IAPs and subscriptions through RevenueCat for past four months with no problems.Last Tuesday the purchase data (subscriptions appear fine) for both products has almost halved when viewed through RevenueCat. App Store Connect and other sources check out fine, RC however is missing between 30-60pc of data from In App Purchases. My own code or implementation has not changed or updated in the past month.Having reported this to RC a week ago, beyond the usual links to documentation around discrepencies I have not had any helpful response or little to encourage me that anyone is actually looking at this.Therefore I’m here trying to find or understand different approaches to solving this issue wherever it may lie. For my part I’m not losing any money on it but RC as a solution, bar the paywall, is now largely useless without the real time data.

iOS RevenueCat migration using transaction ID?

Hello,I have an iOS app with existing subscribers and I want to migrate to RevenueCat. Unfortunately, I have not saved the base64-encoded receipt files, but I have saved the iOS transaction IDs that allows a lookup of subscriber data from Apple’s App Store Server API. Is there any migration path that supports using this information? I’m aware of the client-side migration path but would prefer a server-side path. Thanks,Alan

Incomplete documentation on https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/api-v1-spec#tag/entitlements?In the “duration” section, it says “See below for possible values.” but I’m struggling to find it. Am I missing something?

We are currently facing an issue with our mobile application, on payment rejections for subscriptions paid in Brazilian Real (BRL). This problem has persisted for approximately four months and exclusively affects payments made in BRL, as payments in USD and other currencies process without issue. To aid in your investigation, here are some details from our recent analysis: Technical Details1. Error Code: PurchaseNotAllowedError(3, "The device or user is not allowed to make the purchase.")2. Error details: debugMessage: '', code: 'E_SERVICE_ERROR',responseCode: 3 }3. Details: This was tested in app, on emulators. Also using test and real credit cards. Have you seen this error before? Custom trial plan without Apple subscription.

Hi.Is it possible to create a custom trial plan that dont require any card submission and wont try to automatically switch to payed plan once trial is ended? The point is to offer a confident free of charge usage of all premiem features without subsribing to Apple InApp which auto switch to payed plan and charges after trial.

Calculating lost revenue from refunded subscription in Apple App Store

I’m trying to better understand how refunds affect revenue, and specifically how they relate to the Apple App Store fee and sales tax / VAT. My current understanding: If I have a renewable subscription for $10/mo, and the user purchases from a location with 10% sales tax/VAT, then my net revenue is $10 * (1 - 0.1) * (1 - 0.15) = $7.65. that accounts for apple’s 15% fee and the 10% tax. Next, when the user requests a refund, that customer gets the full $10 back, and the full $10 comes from my net revenue, is that right? So I end up paying $2.35 to Apple for each refunded customer.Is my understanding correct? I can’t find any documentation about how refunds affect my revenue specifically. In this case, I’m only concerned with Apple’s App Store and auto-renewable subscriptions, if that makes a difference in how it’s handled.

Subscriptions are not updated after payment issues.

I have been using RevenueCat for 3 years, and there is an issue that is never resolved with subscriptions. The error occurs when a user delays payment; as soon as they make the payment before the subscription is canceled, Google informs that it is paid. However, in RevenueCat, it does not update, blocking the customer. Can someone help me with this?

How to use Paywall in Flutter? (Android part in kotlin)

Hi, i have a flutter app and want to include the new paywall feature, but i get error messages, i cant make it work. Paywall view does not close upon successful purchase completion

I’m currently testing subscription using Sandbox account. I’m able to receive the purchase successful confirmation. But the paywall view page does not disappear - the call action button keeps spinning. Anything in addition I need to implement in order to dismiss the paywall upon purchase? Please advise. Upgrading from iOS free-trial to paid before ending

We offer a premium subscription and want to offer a 7-day free trial for users. However, we want to limit the amount of content they access on the free trial. This we can implement fine. However, what if we have users who want full access and want to pay before the 7 days end? Do they have to “cancel” their free-trial and then subscribe again in the iOS settings? Or can they upgrade directly somehow to the paid subscription, before their free trial ends?

Subscription did not match with records on iPhone

Hi there,I have completed the integration to my Flutter project. I published my App and test it using real payment. The end result confuses me. Could anyone understand how it works?This is the record on my iPhone, the subscription is 6 month expired in 23rd Sept 2023The screenshot from my iPhone above is customer with ID 14, the records for customer 14 is shown below. In addition, I have the “Renewal Receipts” checked on my iPhone but I did not see any related purchases in the Purchase History. In the Customer List, I have NO customer in the Active List, 2 customers in the Sandbox List, 0 customer in the Non-subscriber List, and 1 customer in the Expired List as shown above. This is the transaction shown in the Customer Profile This is the continuous section from the previous Customer Profile. The screenshot from iPhone shows the subscription to the product “bacabuku_9540_6_month”, but it did not show the subscription to product “bacabuku_1540_1_m”. Meanwhile, the customer profile fro

AppUserID used in login() is different from the actual AppUserID in the purchased record in RC

This is very strange and I can’t believe it happened. I am testing a purchase with AppUserID 56 as shown in the log file below (indicated as /v1/subscribers/56/offerings). I made a purchase and got a message indicating that “There is already another active subscriber using the same receipt” (as shown below). When I check RC dashboard, it shows that the purchase is made by AppUserID 14, shown below. I am using purchases_flutter plugin and using the login() function upon user login. I supposed the login() function will set the current user of Revenuecat and thereafter the purchase made should be belonging to the ID passed in to the login() function. How can user 56 turn out to be user 14?I hope someone out there can help me. Thank you.

"The product is already active for this user error" in the same device with different accounts and can't show virtual cards

Hello, I would like to know if you can help me.I am developing an app in react native, in which my authentication method is through oauth. Next, I register the user in revenueCat using the login method by passing the unique user uuid.Currently, I am experiencing two issues:The first one is regarding virtual cards.I have followed all the steps described in the guide, but from the user account when trying to make a subscription purchase, only my real cards linked to my play store account appear. I have been reading that perhaps this is what is causing the error and I should use the sandbox with a test user without real cards linked, which leads me to the second question. To test the functionality from user “A”, I purchased the monthly subscription. everything worked fine, but from the same device when switching to user account “B”, even changing the play store account, when trying to make a subscription purchase, the error "The product is already active for this user" appears. Can you use iOS In-App Purchase Key for multiple apps, not just multiple offers?

When adding an iOS In-App Purchase key to prepare for StoreKit 2 support, I see that in the docs it says You can use the same in-app purchase key for all of your offers. Can someone confirm that you can also use the same IAP Key for all of our RevenueCat Projects? We have multiple apps in the App Store, and each is configured with a different RevenueCat project. Can we use the same IAP key for all of these projects, or do we need to create one for each Project? The key is created in App Store Connect at the account level, not tied to any specific app, so it seems plausible that we are intended to use the same key for multiple projects / apps within RevenueCat.

How can I force close the purchase sheet on mobile on a timeout or in general?

Hello,I'm working on a Flutter app with an in-app purchases. I'm looking for a solution to automatically close the purchase sheet after a specified amount of time. I’ve dug around and there doesn’t appear to be any obvious way of closing the sheet?Just in general it doesn’t seem there is any way of closing the app, causing the sheet to stay open indefinitely even if the user signs out or background the app, until they click the “x” or just outside the sheet. Thank you!
