I am unable to clear the above Credentials issue. I went through all the steps in the guide - https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/creating-play-service-credentials/ - carefully to no avail.

According to a number of post in this community form on the same problem, the solution is to make sandbox purchases. The problem is can’t make sandbox purchases.

My supposed sandbox purchases go through as real purchases. I followed the guide - https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/sandbox - for sandbox purchases to no avail.

I would very much appreciate help with this. Thank you in advance.

Heys @AT.F,

Is your app a paid app (pay to download vs using only in app purchases)? It looks like if you are testing a paid app on a closed track, testers will still be prompted to purchase it: https://play.google.com/console/about/closed-testing/

Does that seem to be the case?

Hey @AT.F,

How are you currently making purchases? Is your app approved and available on Google Play? If you’re using the version that you’ve installed from the Google Play store, then your purchases will always come through as production purchases.

Hey Kaitlin,

Thank you for the reply. My app is approved and available in Google Play (production). I added the Revenue Cat and purchase functionality to a new version and uploaded it to a closed track as described in this guide; https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/google-play-store

However, when I sent the link to the new release to friends they were prompted to pay and their purchases went through as real purchases. Said friends did not have the production release or the app in their device prior to installing the app from the closed track link I shared.
