Migrating from Java to Flutter and from Play Billing subscriptions to RC

Hi there.I’m migrating my app from Java to Flutter and actually I’m using 1 annualy subscription with Play Billing that has about 100 users.I have their tokens but not the app_user_id. It is complicated for me to understand the documentation since I don’t know if I can upload data manually or what else.

iOS, Unable to load receipt, the receipt is missing

Hi, I am facing with this issue:Unable to load receipt, ensure you are logged in to a valid Apple account. The receipt is missing. I am able to get products and also able to able to see and buy them.  But after I click OK, I got the error message. I don’t know why this is happening. Apple Store rejected my binary couple of times.  With a physical device I can buy the product but with the simulator it works until the receipt error. Thank you.

Update Subscriber Attributes API Error

On occasion we get an error from the update subscriber attributes API. We are not sure what is causing the error since we are following the documentation. Here is the error response: {‘code’: 7259, ‘message’:‘Subscription not found for subscriber’}

Limitations on Grant a Promotional Entitlement API

Hello all! Our team is developing a feature that will result on giving away around 50k+ users a free 30-60 days subscription on a monthly basis.We were wondering if we are going to find any technical limitations with the Grant a Promotional Entitlement API? or if grating that amount of subscriptions concerns RavenueCat in any way?Thank you!

Find all purchases made by user

Hi all, I want to find all purchases made by the user on IAP, in my app’s code. Actually due to some UX issues, some customers have bought both the lifetime and monthly subscription of the app. Now I want to identify such users while they run the app, and instruct them on how to claim refund for one of the purchase. What is the best way to do this, since I don’t have any email id identifier for the users, I was thinking of adding code to identify such users in the app itself, any pointers on what functions can I call from RevenueCat’s SDK for me to solve this issue. I am looking for iOS based solution 14.0+.

Android payments suddenly failing in production... (Error: There was a credentials issue. Check the underlying error for more details.)

My react native app has been in production for over a year. Without submitting a new release, payments are failing on Android. This should mean that the issue is either on your side (RevenueCat) or Google Play. Already lost 40% off my subscribers in a couple of days. I haven’t changed anything, however this suddenly came up in development:“[Error: There was a credentials issue. Check the underlying error for more details.]”Doesn’t say anything more detailed than this. On Android payments go through, however, then there is no active subscriptions to be found when requesting in from the SDK.No issues on iOS. Would be great to sort this out ASAP, loosing subscribers as we speak:/

Amazon Live App Testing doing actual purchases?

As RevenueCat won’t validate purchases in sandbox mode, we need to use Live App Testing for Amazon.However, as far as I can tell, any purchases made in Live App Testing seem to be doing actual purchases. I can see the purchase in my actual account and resetting entitlements on the Amazon dashboard seems to have no effect.Is there some other config I need to be doing so I can do actual testing?

What happens if my app exceeds $10k MTR in a month on the Free plan, and miss to upgrade to the Starter or Pro plan after period . the IAP feature will still work?

iOS 15 prewarming clarification

I just noticed the new docs have:If you are not using RevenueCat's anonymous IDs as described above, and are instead providing your own app user ID on configuration, do not call configure in application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:. Instead, call the configure method in your root view controller's initialization method.This is a fairly major change, since my app has a complex init sequence. It would be helpful to know more about what's going on here, so that I can correctly adjust my init sequence.I have read about the unavailability of the KeyChain during prewarming, but what exactly is requiring this change?

[EXPO] Why does Purchases.getOfferings() return item but Purchases.getProducts() returns empty array

Im wondering why is it that i retrieve data back from “getOfferings” but not "getProducts”. I’d imagine that the fact that im receiving data for “getOfferings” means my current setup is correct. Any insight on this? What is replacement for isBillingSupported method in Android sdk v3.1?

We are migrating from sdk v3.x for android (java).The isBillingSupported method is not marked as deprecated in the new sdk, it is just gone. showManageSubscriptions never uses native AppStore method

I noticed that even on a device running iOS15, Purchases.showManageSubscriptions() loads the subscriptions UI via Safari rather than a native action sheet. This seems to be because we have:  SystemInfo.appleSubscriptionsURL = URL(string: "https://rev.cat/manage-apple-subscription")This url never passes the isAppleSubscription() test, therefore we always fallback to the openURL() method.Is this by design?

Product change alert not showing in sandbox

Hi,A quick question.I’m using RevenueCat with the sandbox user. I have two same-level subscriptions, one is monthly and the other one is annual. I added them into one entitlement. When I try to purchase each of them separately, everything works as expected. But the issue is, I subscribe to the annual plan, after that I try to subscribe to the monthly plan, and its purchases monthly without any alert, like I have not subscribed to the annual plan. I’m expecting the alert which says, “Do you want to modify your subscription to monthly, and it will begin and you will be charged after x date...”. This alert pops up when I try with the StoreKit, but not popping up with the RevenueCat. Is this normal, will it work when it is in production? My app is v1.0 and has not been accepted yet.My purchase function like;Purchases.shared.purchasePackage(package) { transaction, info, error, userCancelled in …Any idea?Thank you.

Android/iOS subscription trial webhook events

Hiya, I’m looking to add trials to my existing in-app subscriptions, but had some questions regarding the webhook events. I noticed that when starting a trial in the sandbox, the INITIAL_PURCHASE event is triggered, which is great. I was wondering:If the user continues with the trial and the trial automatically converts to a paying subscription, is another webhook event sent? We have a trial status against users on our API, so we would be looking to update this status based on the data that comes from the webhook. Would the RENEWAL event be sent here? If the user cancels the trial, am I correct in saying the the CANCELLATION webhook event is triggered?Thanks in advance,Joe

Purchase Restore returns no active entitlements on iOS

Some of our iOS users have reported that nothing happens when when restoring purchases on iOS and I’ve been able to reproduce. From debugging my own account, I have an active subscription in App Store but when I restore purchase, I noticed my `PurchaserInfo` does not include active subscriptions when restoring. In case it’s relevant, the `appUserId` we pass in during initialization with `Purchases.setup()` can be a different id across installs (e.g., a fresh install creates a new user id).Any known issues or advice on how to debug this further? VersionsTested with the following and both had empty active subscription:Flutter v2.10.3 and purchases_flutter v3.8.0 Flutter v3.0.1 and purchases_flutter v3.10.0 Code: final PurchaserInfo restoredInfo = await Purchases.restoreTransactions(); The data in PurchaserInfo:  My phone’s subscription on App Store:

Electron + RevenueCat best practices

We’re looking to use RevenueCat across our native Swift iOS app, Electron Mac app, and React web app. Currently all of our subscriptions have been managed via Stripe.Is there a best practice around how to integrate on the Electron app? We’re assuming Electron should behave similarly to web and use the Stripe Checkout integration or the RevenueCat REST API, but just want to make sure we’re on the right track before continuing.

Android fetching offerings is very slow

I am using android kotlin sdk for fetching the offerings (google play, IAP products). But the fetching of offering is very slow (~15s). In my application users can see the list of products as soon as they open the app. So showing a loading screen for 10-15 seconds until i can show products is giving a bad user experience. Hello all,I’d like to check the originalApplicationVersion for my iOS app, without prompting the user to login to their AppStore account.Your “converting a paid iOS app to subscription” blogpost has the following code, which looks like it should do what I want:if let receiptURL = Bundle.main.appStoreReceiptURL,   let _ = try? Data(contentsOf: receiptURL) {    Purchases.shared.restoreTransactions { (info, error) in        completion?(info)    }} This implies that it’s safe to call restoreTransactions if we’re certain that there is a receipt on the device.However, the (recently renamed) restoreTransactions function has a refresh policy of .always, which I suspect might prompt the user to login.So my questions:will restoreTransactions ever prompt for AppStore login if there is a receipt on the device? if that function might prompt, is there a reliable way to get originalApplicationVersion from an on-device receipt without prompting?Thank-you!  Matthew

Complete transaction in didFinishLaunchingWithOptions?

Imagine that my app crashes just after a successful payment. Item not available in your country - Android issue.

Hello, I have been using the SDK pretty successfully during testing. Decided to take a break came back 2 weeks later and all of a sudden I am getting “Item not available in your country” error messages when trying to subscribe to any of the subscriptions I have up on my app(APK running on a physical machine at the mo for testing.)The base plan activated for all the products does include United Kingdom and the Google account I am using to make the purchase is also United Kingdom.I’d be more wary of this being my own introduced bug If I was actually changing the code over the last 2 weeks. - hence me reaching out. ScreensError message on display under every subscription available:Google account:Item availability in Google Play Console:Any advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance. David
