Logging in users after they have already got an anonymous account

Hi there,I have realised that due to a bug in my code, I have not been logging in all users.As we are in the internal testing phase, this is not such a big issue.However, once the app is released it might become a problem, as users who created accounts during internal testing need to use the same app accounts. These users have not been logged into RevenueCat but are just anonymous users.My question pertains to the RevenueCat representation of these users. Is it an issue that the user who has been an anonymous user during internal testing (no purchases taking place), be logged in in RevenueCat? Thank you, and sorry for the somewhat confusing question!

createAlias() API removed from RC SDK 5.0

On the Github page it seems the createAlias() function will be removed from RC SDK 5.0.Why? We use this function in our app to let users restore their purchase when switching phones or accounts. Without this function we would need to do this manually for every user via email customer support. Ofcourse this does not scale.Is there a alternative to createAlias() in the 5.0 SDK?

Price different between Apple Connect and RevenueCat when fetching Offerings

Current situationMy app is currently on IOS and Android. The IAP work correctly. Im under Flutter.I used to purchase by requesting the product identifier (see below):await Purchases.purchaseProduct(<product identifier>, type: PurchaseType.inapp); Problem with new situation:Now, I have several offering with multiple packages in RevenueCat.So, I need to fetch the offering from RevenueCat when the app starts:Offerings offerings = await Purchases.getOfferings(); Look at the Response, there is an error on the price shown by RevenueCat: I end up with a different price sent by RevenueCat for the same product identifier : Price on Apple Connect: 2.99 EUR (Tier 3) Price on Smartphone in Production: 2.99 EUR Price on Response from RevenueCat SDK: 3.49 EUR (ERROR)The issue is only with IOS. I checked Apple Connect, the price is correct (see below) : I checked the purchase on Production smartphone, the price is correct (see below) : The error is only on RevenueCat when I fetch the offering.

Need to login Apple ID every time when purchase

Hi folks, I am testing the purchase function and running into a problem that, every time I called the purchase function it will ask me to login using my Apple ID. I tested on both physical device and stimulator. I’ve login both before I installed the app (i also tried uninstall and login again but no luck). Any advice? Thanks a lot.

How to tell if user is unsubscribed but subscription has not expired

We have a single entitlement in our project that can be backed by a few different subscriptions (iOS / Android / Web). Cancellation flow works and I can see the hooks being delivered to RevenueCat but I’d like to be able to differentiate between states of “unsubscribed but subscription has not expired” (ie good until end of month) and “unsubscribed” (ie no entitlement). Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

Can I force sync between PaymentQueue and RevenueCat for consumable in app purchases in React Native?

Hello, I have a React Native iOS project where I am incorporating RevenueCat Consumable in app purchases. Adding a user Alias using the REST API

I’m trying to handle `TRANSFER` events from the webhooks.Unfortunately, the `TRANSFER` events don’t copy any of the users previous attributes, including aliases (there should be an option to do this automatically IMO), so now we’re trying to keep our user app IDs in sync with our backend/database.It seems that I cannot set aliases using the REST API though, only attributes. Is there a way for me to set aliases using the REST API?

The problem I have is that the documentation does not show how to use syncPurchases with React Native. Purchases on Android TV are not working properly | react native

Hi Guys!Our project uses revenuecat with react native. We noticed a problem with purchases on Android TV when a user doesn’t have the payment methods defined on his Google account. When a user tries to purchase an item google directs the user to a page where presents 2 options: complete the purchase on an Android device, or following a link on a desktop. When a user completes the payment on another device the app doesn't get the information about the purchase and the only option that the user has is to try to back to previous screen.and we get this error: 2022-03-24 11:37:42.025 18325-18325/? How to know if isSubscribedInOldSystem in React Native

I migrated my app to RC, however old subscribed users are having a sync problem. Previously, I was using react-native-iap library for subscriptions and receipts validations in the client side. if ( isSubscribedInOldSystem // not able to get this information && !isSubscribedInRevenueCat) { Purchases.syncPurchases();}Because of RC, I had to remove react-native-iap from my packages.json to prevent crashes and libraries incompatibilities.I never stored any users subscriptions informations and I am now unable to get the isSubscribedInOldSystem to syncPurchases. Non-Subscription Purchases with Quantity > 1

I’m implementing Non-Subscription Purchases (in Flutter). While testing I discovered that the Google Play store offers an option to select a quantity. When I submit a quantity greater than 1 the webhook JSON and Subscriber Info retrieved by the REST API do not reflect the selected quantity. Am I missing something or is this something that needs to be added to RevenueCat.I’ve included a picture of the purchase screen and the webhook JSON. You’ll note that the ‘price’ shown in the JSON reflects the amount for a quantity of three, however, there is no other indication that multiple units were selected. ios emulator build fails

I am running react-native-purchases 4.5.3 on an m1 MacBook with xCode 14. Building works fine on a physical device but fails on emulator with this error: fatal error: module map file '/Users/xxxxxx/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/xxxxxxx-aypdoepholwfczhdoyntaygzhteb/Build/Products/Debug-iphonesimulator/PurchasesCoreSwift/PurchasesCoreSwift.modulemap' not found1 error generated.Has anyone experienced that problem?

How to perform subscription migration, when there is no record of App Store receipts.

Hi, Alankrit here, We are planning to move to RevenueCat from our existing subscription architecture, in which, we save Apple App Store user subscriptions, in our backend, and they have the “originalTransactionId” as the unique key. We do not store any App Store receipts. While reading the migration documentation here https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/migrating-existing-subscriptions , I figured that it is required to have a record of all App Store receipts, in order to migrate existing user subscriptions to RevenueCat. Some answers :suggest we should do Client Side migration. But, another aspect of our current architecture is, we first ask users to subscribe and only then they log in / sign up, so it is possible that at the time of subscription we may not have any user info. Question: Will client side migration work in this case ? And if so, any guidance on how to implement it would be really appreciated.

Purchases are linked to the wrong account

Hi,I am seeing a weird behavior from RevenueCat in our app where purchases are getting linked to the wrong account. I’ve been able to narrow it down to the following use case: User logs in with new account. User subscribes. User cancels their subscription. User deletes account. User’s subscription expires. User logs in with new account. User subscribes again. Purchase is linked to old account instead of the new account. Here’s what I see in the customer history for the old account who is erroneously getting the subscription: Here’s the history for the new account (Don’t mind the promotional entitlement I granted them while I investigated the issue): This is clearly the wrong behavior since the user purchased the subscription after logging in with the new account. The purchase should not count as a renewal but as a new purchase on the new account. It seems that RevenueCat erroneously thinks the old subscription was renewed. I do understand that restoring purchases might solve this iss

Can we test webhooks before our app is approved on the apple app store?

Goal:We want to test our In-App Purchase Flow end-to-end in TestFlight using a sandbox account and see sandbox data in RevenueCat and receive the associated webhook events. Problem:Our app has not yet been approved on the apple app store. It appears I can only provide App Store Server Notifications URLs in the App Store section under App Information. I don’t see a way to add them to a TestFlight build. Question:Is there a way to accomplish my goal before being approved on the app store, or is that a prerequisite of receiving webhook events from sandbox IAP transactions? Thanks!

Requests to sandbox.itunes.apple.com

Hi,Please help us to solve a mystery.When we build our app and upload to testflight I can see that the app send request to sandbox.itunes.apple.com and it’s very slow. According to posts in forums and communities this is known issue that is not taking care of for years from Apple side.This request is taking a lot of time (I assume that this request source is from react-native-purchases library) and slows down our loading process of the app.Sometimes the requests are even timed out or I get message like:None of the products registered in the RevenueCat dashboard could be fetched from App Store Connectand the products are not loading I don’t see such requests from the production version that is downloaded from the app store.I do see requests to itunes.apple.com How can I make sure that this situation happens only on testlight. How can I build the app in a production mode to check this. I tried the ad hoc build and install .ipa on my device but same thing happened. Does anyone took a look

How do you check getPurchaserInfo in the web

I just started trying out RevenueCat today and I want some clarification about not being able to use an SDK for the web, hence not able to get `getPurchaseInfo` of a user to check what subscription the user is on. What would be the best way to do this?I have a cross platform app built with capacitor for android, ios and also for web.I am working on adding app purchases and stripe for web.I realized that I cannot use the Ionic Capacitor sdk on the web. The error message says `cordova_not_available`, which makes sense. So would this “plan checking”, have to be done on my backend side, where my backend does an API request to RevenueCat backend and my backend sends this information to the web client? Then, why not do it this way on the mobile app?

Hello!I have used block transfers as a restore behavior in revenue cat in accordance to my application’s business logic which is:If User A subscribes to product and his subscription in underlying store is active then the User B shouldn't be able to make the purchase, but if the subscription of User A in underlying store is expired then the User B should be able to make the purchase.Currently I am facing issue of There is already another active subscriber using the same receipt.while trying to purchase from User B even if the subscription purchased by User A is expired. For the desired behavior when the subscription of User A is expired then the purchase should be transferred to the User B but if the subscription of User A is active then the purchases shouldn’t be transferred to the User B.Is there any way that I can achieve this desired behavior? If not is there any workaround for this ?
