iPadOS 15 running app from Xcode fails to return any products. Best way to allow a subscription for free

Do you know what the best way is to onboard a user and give them access to a subscription for free? I am using Firebase as a back end, fyi. I need a way to onboard clients and provide them access to subscription features without charging them.Thanks in advance for your help.

How upgrades/downgrades work on iOS and Android

 Note that developers (you) cannot change a customer's subscription directly. The app stores do not allow developers to upgrade or downgrade a subscription on behalf of a customer. Flutter web: I am getting errors when using Firebase ID

I am currently working on a Flutter web application that utilizes the Firestore ID and I am experiencing difficulty in retrieving the user's status. The code I posted below works when I paste in the userID string. [Android] "The product is not available for purchase"

Sorry for asking this question here, but we haven’t had much luck over the SDK forum. We are still getting the “The product is not available for purchase” when attempting to subscribe on Android when using the React Native package. Initially I suspected there may be some kind of latency associated with the setup, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Here’s a list of what we’ve checked and the current set up:The app is publicly rolled out on a production track The package name in RevenueCat matches that in our Gradle build The product identifiers match those in Google Play Console The subscriptions are active in Google Play ConsoleSet up on the Google side of things seems to be fine, as the Play Store listing is correctly pulling in our subscription packages. Here are screenshots to confirm the above:Subscriptions in GPC showing as activeApp is available and rolled out in productionPlay Store listing clearly recognises IAPsIdentifiers in RevenueCat match those in the Play ConsolePack

Google Play Subscription Changes: when will RevenueCat support the new subscription structure?

Google has just announced changes to how they handle subscriptions: https://developer.android.com/google/play/billing/compatibility and https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/12124625 While existing subscriptions will continue to work, there are new ways to create offers and even new (on Android) subscription types like prepaid. Does RevenueCat already have a timeline how and when all of this will be supported both in SDK and dashboard? FYI: I’m also seeing the following warning in our Play Store account - I guess RevenueCat is using the InAppProduct API: “You're using the InAppProduct API to manage subscriptions, which is no longer updated. Start using the new Subscriptions API to get new features including multiple base plans and offers, as well as prepaid plans.”

Purchases.getOfferings(); hangs after upgrading RevenueCat to latest

Hi,Here are the packages I have in my pubspec.yaml file.cloud_firestore: ^2.5.3firebase_core_web: ^1.1.0cloud_firestore_web: ^2.4.3firebase_core: ^1.7.0firebase_auth: ^3.1.2provider: ^6.0.1firebase_messaging: ^10.0.8firebase_crashlytics: ^2.2.2firebase_analytics: ^8.3.3purchases_flutter: ^3.0.0 I run everything in Flutter stable channel version 2.5.2.I tried using flutter channel beta version 2.6.0-5.2.pre as well. The iOS version of the phone is 15.0.1. And I run tests on Iphone 7 (physical device, not a simulator). The app works perfectly fine on Android but it hangs at the start of the app when I call the following function:Offerings rcOfferings;rcOfferings = await Purchases.getOfferings(); And the getOfferings() function never returns.. Getting "There was a credentials issue." on android after 72+ hours

As title says, getting "There was a credentials issue." on android after 72+ hours.  I am using `"react-native-purchases": "^4.2.0"`. Understanding "Restore Purchase"

So I understand the basic idea of how the restore functionality works, but I dont see how this could become a problem in my application and thus wanted to ask if I am missing something here. My users can only sign in with their phone number and alle purchases are only possible after a login.Let’s say that a user changes phone, the user will get a new phone and sign in with the new phone but the same phone number - As the purchases are attached to the Play/Apple account and the purchases are also saved on their accounts within their app, they could switch phone and not lose any functionality. Is there any scenario missing here where I would need “Restore Purchases” ? Apple rejected by production app due this functionality being missing, but I dont see, why I would need this.

Hello, I am receiving this RC error into my error monitoring service : “There is an issue with your configuration. Check the underlying error for more details.” However, I cannot reproduce this problem, my app is live on both iOS and Android and everything seems to work fine, I have active subscriptions. Still a little number of my users (<1%) are receiving this error. I’ve read all posts about it and all of them are about configuration issues, however in my case, RC works fine for 99% of my users. I use “react-native-purchases”: “5.13.1”. This error only happens on Android. Should I be worried about this error ? Or is it harmless ? Thank you

My purchases are successful on real devices. But I am getting the error log in the simulator. This results in a rejection by the review team. Using Google Play Billing Library 5.0.0 with react-native-purchases

I have created a mobile app with react native that uses react-native-purchases and when I upload it to the Play Store I get the following warning:We've detected that this app is using an old version of Google Play Billing. From 1 November 2023, all app updates must use Billing Library version 5 or newer.Action required: Please verify that your publicly available APKs are updated to the latest version of the Play Billing Library. This includes any APK or app bundle rolled out in production. Is there any plans on getting the react-native-purchases package working with Google Play’s Billing Library 5.0.0?

Multiple users from a single Apple/Google account

Hi, I’m trying to get some clarity around account creation. Currently, a user can create as many accounts as they want in our app (no payment is needed upon account creation). However, we want to only allow a single Apple/Google ID to be associated with one account. For example, if I:Create two brand new accounts Login to the first one and subscribe to a paid monthly subscription Logout and login to the second accountAt this point, I would expect that the second account doesn’t have access to the paid monthly subscription that was purchased by account number one. The phone is still logged in with the same Apple/Google ID, so:Is the second account able to purchase a paid monthly subscription? If the second account purchased a higher tier than the first account, would it all be associated with one account in RevenueCat, therefore “upgrading” the first account?We have done some testing in Sandbox mode, and wanted clarity on how this would work in production. Issue with Xcode 14 beta 4 and iOS 16 Simulator

I’ve encountered an issue using Xcode 14 beta 4. Updated to RevenueCat 4.9.0 and still seeing the issue. If I use a StoreKit config file with an iOS 16 simulator, when I attempt to make a purchase, the iOS pay dialog never appears and I get RevenueCat.ErrorCode Code=1 "Purchase was cancelled." If I switch to an iOS 15 simulator, it works fine. If I switch to a different scheme that doesn’t use StoreKit, I get the iOS dialog to sign in. If I try this on my own iOS 16 device, it works fine. Android subscription crashes after test purchase

Hello, We are experiencing consistent crash after a test subscription purchase in our Android app.The purchase first seemed to be successful, but after a short time, the first crash occurs and the crash message appears every 30 to 50 seconds from the background.Also, re-launching the app also crashes after the purchase(the purchase might have triggered something). Here is the crash log:23:38:39.533 26296-26521/? Guidance on handling expired subscriptions

I noticed when testing that my subscription expires pretty quickly. Subscription acceleration is vaguely explained in the docs (more details would be super helpful). Service Account Credentials JSON - Credentials need attention

I made and remade this service account credentials JSON multiple times and it still won’t work. I even created a new google cloud project and made a new service account there. Did the whole process outlined in the docs to create the service account with pub/sub admin etc and it fails to work.  I keep getting an error that the “credentials need attention”. It doesn’t seem to have any problem accessing my subscription products in the google play console. However, in each product it also says beside “Store Status” - “Could not check” and “Connection issue - Make sure the service account credentials JSON is configured properly.” Has anybody else had issue like this and managed to resolve them?  Thanks,  Jay

Please see this Google Help Center article for details. p0.e0.c Unfortunately got nothing else, no email, so just have to guess what code its refering to. Best guess is the key used to configure revenuecat for in-app purchase.configuration = PurchaseConfiguration('goog_********************************');They suggest using Jetpack (https://support.google.com/faqs/answer/9450925)I am however struggling to implement this in flutter. Does anyone have any example code/articles etc that could help?I suspect this will impact all apps that use a key within the app like revenuecat.Thanks

What happens when uncheck "Cleared for Sale" in AppStore Connect?

I have a non-consumable in app purchase that I no longer offer in the app, so it would be great if I could remove it from the store listing, but I don’t want to remove anything for the users that have already purchased this iAP.Can I safe uncheck “Cleared for Sale” in AppStore Connect? Is it still included in the AppReceipts? If I have the legacy purchase in my entitlements, will the features still be unlocked for these users? Can they still restore purchases?

Can you change the currency shown in the RevenueCat dashboards from USD?

I understand that the currency of the product is handled by the App Store, but when viewing the RevenueCat dashboards, the prices are always converted to USD currently.Is there a way to set the currency displayed in RevenueCat? Thanks,Brent
