Best practices for handling non-subscription transactions and refunds

I have one consumable product in my iOS app that doesn’t link to any entitlements as recommended in the docs:If you have non-subscription products, you may or may not want to add them to entitlements depending on your use case. If the product is non-consumable (e.g. lifetime access to "pro" features), you likely want to attach it to an entitlement. However, if it is consumable (e.g. purchase more lives in a game) you likely do not want to add them to an entitlement.Right now I’m using the transaction history to keep track of the purchases and unlock in-app content accordingly. Not sure what’s the best approach for this to correctly handle refunds.

In my app the first call is await Purchases.setDebugLogsEnabled(true); The app crashes after that. Any suggestions on how to resolve that?

A recovered Android subscription was cancelled because it was not acknowledged by the API.

In our testing, we tried a sandbox PurchaseProduct on Android that resulted in a code 10 network error:"message": "Error performing request.","context": "PurchaseProduct","underlyingErrorMessage": "Hostname api.revenuecat.com not verified:\n certificate: sha1/3LiOs5Y962AdAv8grdgm7+0i67g=\n DN: CN=*.gci-mckinsey.com\n subjectAltNames: [*.gci-mckinsey.com]","readableErrorCode": "NetworkError","code": 10 The tester then attempted to purchase the same subscription and got a code 6 (ITEM_ALREADY_OWNED). Because of this, our app triggered a SyncPurchase, resulting in a subscribed status for the user after a few seconds. However, a email was promptly sent to our tester by GooglePlay about the subscription being cancelled as in that scenario, no acknowledgement had apparently been sent by Revenue Cat. Synchronization of Revenuecat data and my personal database

Hi. I am still designing my project architecture, Im planning to use revenue cat as the payment for may application. Process1 - User buys an item in the App2 - User are now able to view the details (videos, images etc.)How am i going to sync the revenue cat data to my own personal database which is going to be either of the ff (MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB etc.)Where should i verify if the user has already purchased the item ?Is it from the revenue cat or in my personal database ?Thank you everyone. PI-Hole Blocking all traffic

Hi team. Today I was trying to check my dashboard and all of the API calls were failing. I was also unable to load any info in the app. I was able to trace the problem to my pi hole blocking all of the requests. I’ve had the pi hole installed for a while, so this is a new development. Either they’ve added Revenue Cat to their block list, or the APIs changed to something that gets blocked by them. I’ve already added an exception, so I’m set, but I wanted to let the team know in case you wanted to investigate.

After Deleting a Transaction from StoreKit, why does RevenueCat still think the Transaction Exists?

I’m new to RevenueCat, read the setup docs, watched some YouTube videos, and I got everything working so far. But I ran into a problem after making a test purchase on a real device.A- In viewDidLoad I run fetchCustomerInfo() to check if the user has subscribed or not. When the user hasn’t, the subscribe and restore buttons are shown. I press the subscribeButton and the transaction is successful. I stop the app, and when I restart, the buttons don’t show, which is correct.B- In Xcode I go to Debug > StoreKit > ManageTransactions > I delete the Transaction, and it says No Transaction.C- I stop the app, open the app back up, and the buttons don’t show, but they should show because there aren't any transactions. I check the flow in step 2 again and it still says No Transaction.D- I go to the RevenueCat console, Projects > My Project > iOS > Customers > Active/Sandbox/Non-Subscription/Expired, there aren't any customers in either of them. There is no data whatsoever.E-

Can not delete customers

I have two customers showing up in my sandbox customer list but I can’t delete them.When I click on them, they don’t pull up but they still show up in the list.How do I contact support to help me delete these customers that refuse to go away?Another post says it could take up to an hour but it’s been over a day.

Subscription purchase history

Hello! We intend to provide a panel so the user can see their Purchase history.The PurchaserInfo object provides a good list of nonSubscriptionTransactions that gives a solid output with product id and date of purchase for them. But for subscriptions we only get the latest for each product id, I see it is also the output from the API, so it’s not just a SDK limitation. Is there plans to add something more thorough? Is there any other endpoint where I could get such data? I’d rather not hunt down a local receipt for this (and of course I prefer it to be cross platform) Best regards,Rafael

Xcode 13.2 issue?

Xcode updated to 13.2 for me overnight, and on subsequent compilation it complained that it can’t see the Purchases package for RevenueCat. I use version 3.12.6 of RevenueCat for iOS.I tried deleting caches and looking for latest version, but that didn’t seem to help.I tried deleting the package and reinstalling, but it just freezes at the “preparing to validate” stage- irrespective of whether I ask it to use version 3.12.6 or version 4.Any ideas?

Non-Consumable Unlock all purchase Restore after moving to RevenueCat

Hi,I had a non-consumable Unlock All purchase in my app before moving to RevenueCat. I’ve had iOS users who purchased it before RevenueCat integration. Let’s call these users User from the past. Recently I moved to RevenueCat and created a new auto-renewable purchase (Subscription Unlock All) using RevenueCat code and removed the old code responsible for non-consumable purchase from my app completely (including the old restore functions that worked). The app has a restore button and it calls Purchases.shared.restoreTransactions for restoring Subscription Unlock All purchases, it works correctly. Now, I would like to Unlock All Features and add the ability to restore purchases for every user from the past who purchased a non-consumable Unlock All purchase before RevenueCat integration. THE QUESTION:Am I right that in a Revenuecat dashboard I just need to add my old non-consumable Unlock All product to the Entitlement that is working for a Subscription Unlock All purchase and this will r

Getting "Purchases offerings error" & BILLING_UNAVAILABLE."

Our Android Live app is seeing a lot of the following errors when users try to pay for our app. Recently, a lot of users with newer Android phones are also having this issue so don’t believe it’s a Google Play version issue. Does anyone know what is causing this? Testing Get Offerings on Amazon Kindle showing PurchaseNotAllowedError

StoreProduct.localizedPriceString in USD

Hi,I am an absolute beginner when it comes to using the Revenue Cat SDK. So this might be a stupid question. I have set up my product in Appstore, Revenue Cat and installed the SDK. When testing the API I get all of the information about the product back correctly in the app, apart from all prices are in USD ( hoped for SEK, app localisation Sweden). I have tested both in a simulator and on a physical device( logged in to my account).After reading a few blog posts it seems that this (prices in USD) is what should be expected as long as the app is in a test environment but not a problem once the app is in production. So my question is have I understood this correctly or have I done something wrong?

How should i structure my offerings?

Hey all 👋 I'm currently making an app using RCs Flutter SDK and I'm excited to get integrated. I believe I've wrapped my head around entitlements, packages, and offerings and what input on my future offerings. My budgeting app will have 2 entitlements for standard and premium subscriptions. I also plan to sell monthly and yearly subscriptions on iOS and Android. So far, everything seems normal and similar to the products examples on the doc site. My twist is that service I offer will only allow users to connect to N financial institutions based on the subscription level a user chooses. I want to be able to offer the standard plan with a default entitlement of 3 linked institutions and the premium with a default of 7 institutions. I'm also planning to allow users to change their linked institutions limit manually (from 3 to 5 for example) and have their monthly/yearly subscription reflect that change in cost. My question is, will I have to make an entitlement for each amount of li

I have double checked everyone, bundle Id, in-app cert, App Store Connect App-Specific Shared Secret, everything! Hi, the app is using RC to make a purchase, I already update the bundle Id and the keys into the RC dashboard, However when I tried to make a purchase I’m seeing in the logs that is in sandbox env.And when the Apple pay dialog is presented, it is displaying information about sandbox user. Can an anonymous user with a subscription have multiple devices?

Environment: iPadOS 14. I understand that when an anonymous user reinstalls and deletes the app, caling Purchases.configure generates a new app ID, and when he calls restore, the purchase is transferred from his old anonymous ID to his new one. What happens to an anonymous user’s ID if he buys a subscription on device A, then restores on device B.Will device A still be logged in?
