In this scenario, users have subscribed to a service using the same Gmail or Apple email on their mobile devices but have logged in with different email addresses and passwords on each device. The objective is to restrict access to the subscription service to only one user at any given time, while preventing others from using the same Gmail or Apple email on multiple devices. To address this, implementing robust user authentication mechanisms, allowing only one active session per user, implementing session timeouts, providing user notifications, offering account management options, and communicating a clear subscription policy are key strategies to ensure that only one user can utilize the subscription at any given time.

I am trying to integrate with SDK to automate free trial ending reminders and more. And I read this post -  But I also notice that RevenueCat allows various SDKs including customer.io and Firebase, which I am using currently. OneSignal seems great, but I am just wondering if customer.io might be better in the long-term.  How are you guys doing it? I would like to learn from those who has implemented similar features. 

If a customer has auto-renewing subscription, is there a Webhook event dispatched that we can use to notify the customer that their subscription will be renewed and their accounts charged? 

Hi, We’re trying to set up Stripe for web payments.According to the documentation, we need to send with the RC API a POST request with the following parameters: subscription ID and the app user id. The subscription id is the id we get when creating the subscription with Stripe starting with `sub_` correct?For the app user id, the documentation says:the Purchases SDK needs to be configured with the same App User ID associated with the Stripe subscription.Does that mean we have to pass the customer id from the Stripe transaction or it can be any id?

To make diagnosing issues as easy as possible, we are thinking of logging errors (as documented in https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/errors) into Sentry.Our main concern is potentially storing sensitive info like Payment Details, etc. Is this a valid concern? Or are errors guaranteed to be safe to log?

The StoreProduct class in the RevenueCat package (purchases_flutter) contains information about purchasable items, such as subscription details, pricing, and currency. For our Stripe integration, we are currently sending the token over to RevenueCat (RC) when we receive the customer.subscription.created event, as instructed in the documentation here.However, as far as we can tell, when this event fires, Stripe hasn't necessarily completed processing the transaction/payment and therefore RC immediately receives a BILLING_ISSUE and CANCELLATION event from Stripe, which is what we are seeing in the "Customer History" for users. From a quick test, if we delay the POST to RC with the token by even a couple of seconds, we successfully receive the subscription and do not receive the issues mentioned above because (presumably) Stripe has finished the processing on its side by that point.Example user:

I have subscriptions in my app that include 7-day trials. RevenueCat handles introductory offers automatically, which is great. However, I want to provide additional custom promotional offers using Apple's "Promo Codes". Examples of these offers could be:3 months free 6 months freeMy question is: Does RevenueCat automatically manage the redemption and application of these custom promo codes? Or, do I need to handle this logic separately within my app?Any guidance or experience with this would be incredibly helpful!

   The recommended template is used, the default language is English and can be displayed normally;1 However, when I added a new language: Simplified Chinese, and set it as the default, the error occurred in the display.2 If the default language is English and I adjust the test region to mainland China, Chinese UI are not displayed.  Hi everyone,I am encountering an issue (which I should have tackled a long time ago) with a limited number of users. In my apps, I usually set the RevenueCat App User ID to the Firebase notification token that is received from Firebase. I noticed a few users having their subscription expired on a User ID, only for it to be transferred over to a different User ID, only to then be transferred back to the old User ID (so it would expire on the new user ID), and the cycle keeps on going. I put out a build using xcode16.2.. and started getting ipad users on older ios versions telling me the app crashes on startup.. I was finally able to reproduce and I get a crash when initializing rev cat crashes on this lineprivate let purchaseCompleteCallbacksByProductID: Atomic<[String: PurchaseCompletedBlock]> = .init([:]) Xcode reports:Thread 1: signal SIGABRTAn abort signal terminated the process. Such crashes often happen because of an uncaught exception or unrecoverable error or calling the abort() function. I’ve not gotten reports for iphone users.. but I’m not certain it’s just ipad related.  Has anyone seen this? I haven’t touched the store code in a while.. the particular file that invokes rev cat hasn’t been touched in a year.  I support older ios version.. 12.4 is the lowest so it’s using an older version of the sdk as well : ver 4.43.3 Any thoughts ? fe

We are hoping to do a first release on app store with our subscription paywall, however, we want to allow our testflight users to continue to test for free. I want to check if app is downloaded via testflight environment and conditionally bypass the paywall. StoreKit has a Method called a thing called AppTransaction that has a environment field to it. There are StackOverflow post that resolved it using swift, but i am using expo. Is there something equivalent in revenueCat? What is the best way to approach this?

I’m trying to set up our payment at my workplace and I encountered a problem I cannot find others are having.Everything works, in theory and practically which is weird, but I still get warning logs in console when clicking the purchase button in app.So as soon as I click the purchase button I get two warning/error in log:[Purchases] - WARN: 🍎‼️ There is a problem with the SKPaymentTransaction missing a transaction date - this is an issue with the App Store.[Purchases] - WARN: 🍎‼️ There is a problem with the SKPaymentTransaction missing a transaction identifier - this is an issue with the App Store.However, I still get the prompt to purchase and I fill in my sandbox account details and hit buy. Everything is successful. The customer and data shows up on RevenueCat list. However the billing shows up as an error in customer info in RevenueCat in the details of history for customer.I found 

I don't understand why I have to regenerate service credentials. I already have a project at console.cloud.google.com with everything defined. Can't I just give permission to the new Google account that will receive the app in this project?The app is transferred to the Google Play console, I don't understand this part about generating new credentials? Would it be a new project on Google cloud?

We have found an issue during Live App Testing on the Amazon App Store. In the Amazon Developer Console we have set up one subscription in-app items with two terms: Monthly, paid subscription, no free trial, no promotional price Annually, paid subscription, free trial (1 month), no promotional price. When testing our app with Amazon Live App Testing, we found that the annual subscription package object from RevenueCat does not have a period set (it’s “period=null”), however, the monthly subscription has a period set as expected (“period=Period(value=1, "unit=MONTH", iso8601=P1M)”). The main difference between the two is that the annual subscription has a free trial period. This hinders us from displaying our available packages as desired with the proper subscription period. We’re using RevenueCat v8.1.0. My device is a Amazon Fire HD 8 (12th Generation), running Android 1

I want to have a lifetime free premium offer for me and contributors. Instead of creating my own backend for this, I want to use RevenueCat as well.In AppStoreConnect, the longest subscription I can offer for free is one year, which is not sufficient.Therefor I made a non-consumable in AppStoreConnect and connected it to RevenueCat.I will implement my own logic to manage which promoCode is valid for a free lifetime subscription.I have the following two questions: Can I reliably hide this non-consumable from those who are not meant to see it? In AppStoreConnect there is no way to add logic to who can see it, so does that mean if I simply never show it in my app, nobody can access it? Because I know that for subscriptions, when going to cancel in the apple settings, one can see multiple offers, and I don’t want this non-consumable to show up in any place unless with my dedicated UI for it. Hi! In my flutter app, the Google Play team found an error in the subscription screen. I have different projects for different environments (dev, production) - cause I need a different bundle id (recommended here: https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/guides/environment-strategies). Can I somehow duplicate the paywall from one project to another? Rebuilding it takes a lot of time...

I'm using RevenueCat in a Flutter app to manage in-app subscriptions. On iOS, the subscription products load and display correctly when running in debug mode on a real device. However, when I upload the app to TestFlight, the products fail to load — I get an empty list or no products shown at all.

We’re working into creating an experiment but it looks like it would affect the usage of offer codes. We create an offer code under a subscription and since an Experiment requires a separate subscription, we would also need to create a separate code. As I see it, it’s unavoidable so maybe offer code doesn’t work well with Experiments?

Hi,do you have in plans to fully support Google Play Pass? I don’t see clear solution how to manage it using Revenuecat. Previously I used approach described here with .reset() and restoreTransactions() approach, but it caused really strange problems and user ids multiplications.   If the app relies on a purchase management solution that takes 24 hours to sync entitlements, the app either needs to use a different product management solution. It's not acceptable for Google Play Pass to have a 24 delay for entitlement revocation.  

In my iOS app, if I click multiple times before the purchase window appears, the purchase window appears. several times. And if I managed to click 5 times, in the window that appeared I bought the purchase, after hiding the purchase window 4 times I will see a message that the purchase has already been purchased.
