Is a purchase associated with a temporary user id after logIn?

Hi,The flow I want to use is:operate with anonymous user id have the user subscribe using the anonymous user id ask the user to sign in using apple sign in logIn passing apple’s user idAt this point I expect:the purchase to be associated with the new user id  the package and offering to be send down and reflect the new association and have the proper subscription information so purchaserInfo?.entitlements[RevenueCatConstants.entitlementID]?.isActive will read trueThis is not happening. The package is empty. It doesn’t look like the subscription is being associated with the user id passed in through logIn. Is my understanding of the process correct? I’m looking at the table in https://docs.revenuecat.com/docs/user-ids and it seems like they should be merged. thanks

What would be the best approach to know the transactions in case of any purchase/renewal or similar events?

We want to apply additional business logic based on customers’ billing related transactions like subscription/renewal etc. on the server side.For eg : Whenever there is a paid subscription by a user, provide some incentives or something similar.What would be the best approach in order to get the transactions information?Is there an API which we can poll for transactions from the server at regular intervals?  Will Webhooks solve this problem? Where can I find some examples of Webhooks?We are currently using Free plan.

Additional details about the reason for a billing issue when renewing a subscription?

When renewing a subscription, I understand that it is possible for Google or Apple to raise a billing issue.  (E.g.: they have tried billing the account, and are unable to do so for some reason).  When this happens, we receive a BILLING_ISSUE webhook.  Are there any other details from Apple/Google (passed through to RevenueCat) that we get as to what the actual underlying issue was?  I.e.: was the associated credit card expired?  Was the charge declined for some other reason?As near as I can figure, it seems like Google and Apple are pretty tight-lipped this, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask in case I’ve overlooked something in either of their docs.

PlatformException: Invalid package name

I am able to fetch and display the packages. The purchase seems to work on the play store because if i try subscribe to the same package again it says its already in use. The problem is that the purchase is not syncing to the sandbox. I get the following error below:PlatformException(23, There is an issue with your configuration. Check the underlying error for more details., {code: 23, message: There is an issue with your configuration. Check the underlying error for more details., readableErrorCode: ConfigurationError, readable_error_code: ConfigurationError, underlyingErrorMessage: Invalid package name., userCancelled: false}, null)I have the app in the internal testers track on the play store, i am running my app in debug mode. The version on the playstore reads: 3 (1.0.0) and my app version reads: 1.0.0+3.  I am very confused as to what i am doing wrong

Why are all my free trials resulting in BILLING_ERROR?

Something strange has been happening over this last week. Each user who starts a free trial has it automatically cancelled due to a billing error. Event data reported by RC contains "cancel_reason": "BILLING_ERROR".The app currently looks for billing issues (via billingIssueDetectedAt  in RCEntitlementInfo) and guides the user to update their App Store billing. Beyond this, to prevent revenue loss, I’ve switched to a discounted offering without a free trial while I figure out what’s going on.For context, it’s an iOS app using Purchases v3.11.1 (although this is probably not an SDK issue).Any ideas as to what’s happening here?

Setting up a Consumable in-app Purchase Architecture

I am new to RevenueCat and I am looking for advice on how to architect my consumable in-app purchases with ReveneCat. With the current app I am developing for macOS, I use the AWS Polly service and each usage of Polly costs money (pay as you go). I am using consumable in-app purchases to control my cost structures from users so that I will always make a profit no matter the overall customer usage. One requirement is fiscal security where the user can't spoof/hack the consumable resources on device, so I need to store their current resource count in the cloud. I read the following in the ReveneCat help pages.Non-Subscription Purchases:It's important to note that at the moment, logic for keeping track of consumable redemptions must be handled outside of RevenueCat. Auto-Renewable Subscription + Consumable

This is for iOS.Is it possible to provide the paying user with a consumable In-App Purchase at the time of their initial subscription and subsequent renewals? For example, the user signs up for a 3-month subscription. At that moment we give him 10 apples. Three months later when his subscription renews, he gets 10 more apples. If there’s not an easy way with RevenueCat or iOS, then I’m sure I can think up a workaround using some Booleans and Timestamps - figured I check first.Thanks!

Integrating with Firebase A/B experiments

Hi everyone, I recently started a premium subscription for my app on Google Play Store.I started using RevenueCat to handle purchases, but I struggle to integrate it into my A/B tests that I run via Firebase Remote Config. Here is the summary of the setup. The  users are presented with two choices of a subscription screen (which is recorded as a Firebase event). When a user completes a purchase, the app gets notified correctly and fires another Firebase event (along with enabling premium content for the user).So this part works fine and I can analyze the relative performance. The problem is with the cancellations. Since a user can cancel the subscription and never open the app again, I have no way of processing them reliably in my app code. So I need a different way of receiving these events from RevenueCat and into Firebase. I did not find any documentation on that. So far, I manually copy cancellations from RC console into the spreadsheet, but this is time consuming and unreliable. I

Multiple users with a single Google account subscribed twice ( second one succeed with $0 )

Lately I received multiple users who already have an active subscription from Google Play, then signed out and created a new account and from what I understand they won’t be allowed to subscribe with the same billing / Google account.However, I received a webhook call from RevenueCat that he subscribed successfully in the new account with a $0 bill.This is the webhook call back I have received from RC:"presented_offering_id": "plus","price": 0,"price_in_purchased_currency": 0,…"transaction_id": "GPA.3333-*** And both records has a unique transaction id under the same Google Play account, here’s records:I am not sure what’s happening, it’s the third times in the last 2 weeks.Please advise. P.S. I am adding a price check on the webhook function, rejecting new subscriptions with price=0, but not sure any side effects and the user still receive a “successfully subscribed” message on the frontend, so from the user’s angle it will be confusing.Thank you.

How can I get a user's card on file without starting to charge them for a subscription jut yet?

We want to be able to get our users’ cards on file without actually charging them for their subscriptions just yet.In further details:We show our users a monthly & yearly subscription option. And we tell them we wont charge them just yet, but we will down the line Once they opt in, we want to be able to grab their card at that time (along with the plan they selected) Once we’re ready to start charging them, we want to use the card we got on file to begin their subscriptionIs something like this possible on revenuecat?

Only receipts available for migration

We're about to migrate our subscribers to Revenuecat and for Android we have the data needed. But for iOS, we haven't stored anything in our purchase log. However, we can find all the receipts in Cloudwatch. But these are receipts only - so they’re not linked to player IDs, prices and currency.What are the consequences of us not being able to deliver those 3 parameters?Should we not import our existing receipts at all, then? Or should we simply import what we have but without price, currency and player IDs? If so, what kind of problems/limitations may we meet in Revenuecat?HELP!

Why expires_date and grace_period_expires_date is same?

it goes to Xcode environment instead of sandbox environment

I have two different project one of them uses revenuecat and the other with Qonversion.in the  revcat project in-app purchases goes to Xcode environment and the Conversion one goes to Sandbox environment. Devices are the same.Sand box testers are the same.I don't know what is wrong with my revcat project .any recommendation would be appreciated.

Is there a way to add metadata to a package

Let’s say I need to add additional information about a package - I can display the title of a package, I can display the description but where can I fetch additional information about the package? For example the colour or the weight. Is this currently possible or do I need another way of storing and fetching this information?

Configure package with 2 products (1 platform)

Hi guys! I do subscriptions for my app. A have 2 entitlements (Standard, Premium). And I have 3 periods for every entitlement (1 month, 6 month, 1 year). There are 6 products at all. As I understand, a can't use default packages for this, and I need to create custom package for every product? For example: place “1 month standard” and “1 month advanced” in to default MONTHLY package. Because now, I created 6 custom packages. Am I doing everything right? Can you give me some details about this please.

Converting columns in customer lists to date

I am trying to look at when users start a free trial cancel the subscription. I exported a customer list from RevenueCat and have been looking at the data in Excel. In Excel the columns that I am looking at are  trial_opt_out_at and trial_start_at. Does anyone know how to convert the values in these columns to dates from the numbers that they are set. Currently the values in these columns look like - 1629693003000.

When migrating all legacy products have to be added?

We’re currently migrating to RevenueCat. In the past we had many products on Android/iOS mainly for pricing tests where user subscribed to. We don’t offer these products anymore but of course these users should still have access to the PRO features.Do we still need to add all these legacy products (subscriptions) in RevenueCat too, so we can find out they have a valid subscription? Or do we only have to set up the products that we actually want offer in the app?And will this affect analytics somehow when products are not added?BestJanis

How to handle web subscriptions sync?

We are using Paddle for web subscriptions and aren’t sure how to link userIDs and sync status with RevenueCat. Is there a way we can post userIDs and subscription status to RevenueCat so that when the user logs in on iOS we know if they are subscribed or not. The reason I want to do it this way is because otherwise we’ll have to create a new layer on our backend that tracks subscription status for all users and we will need to check that instead of the RevenueCat SDK which kind of defeats the purpose.  Otherwise, we could first check if they are RevenueCat subscribed then check our backend too - which would work I think. But isn’t there some web sdk for subscriptions?

Advice on migration from old user ID system to new regarding block purchases

Ok, so I read and think I understand how the Restore Settings work, but have some further clarification settings.  We’re in the process of migrating to a new backend where all users will need to sign up again with a new system where they will get user IDs. These user IDs are the ones that will not be recycled changed. We don’t want a scenario where users can log out of their new accounts, create a new one, restore subscriptions (mint a new subscriber), then give those credentials to someone else or what have you. That’s why we want to have the Block Restores enabled, but we aren’t sure how to handle the migration process from the old version of our app to the new one. What I was thinking - first, we don’t enable this Block Restores Setting and let everyone migrate to the new login system, restore purchases if they need. Our old version is also using the old SDK and we aren’t calling reset user ID anywhere - what will happen when we upgrade to the new SDK and haven’t called login yet? W

Entitlement is active after a refund

Hey,I can see in my app (iOS) that users who become premium users (subscribers) and then claim for a refund, they still considered to have isActive true in their entitlement. To check that - When I start the app (in the appDelegate), I use the PurchasesDelegate to check what the current status of the user when he enters the app:if purchaserInfo.entitlements[Constants.entitlementID]?.isActive == true { // USER IS PREMIUM} else { // USER IS NOT PREMIUM }Hence, I assume that if a user asked for a refund he will no longer be entitled to be active, but I can see that users are still getting isActive true. What am I doing wrong? Is anyone else encountered that?Or, is there other if statement that I can do which is more accurate? Thanks!

Double checked my identifiers are spelled right. And I get the products on the actual device, just haven’t gotten the StoreKit testing working on simulator.Thoughts?

How to attach additional context to a purchase?

Here is the Setup: 1.  App is a race car game where user has different cars they build.  2. User can buy new parts for each of their cars. 3.  Upgrades are onetime, non-expiring purchases.  4.  One upgrade is for one car only.      4.a.  if user wants to upgrade tires for two cars...the user makes two purchases of product ID "nrp_tire_lvl3_199" User Scenario: 1. User is managing two cars (A, B, and C).2. User wants to upgrade tires on car B.3. User makes purchase of "nrp_tire_lvl3_199"4. Our server receives the Web hook notification of the purchase.   ??? How can we tell the server which of the User's cars to apply the upgrade to?  How can the Server know to apply the upgrade to Car B?
