Paywall Localization Character Limit

I use Paywall(Beta) . I want to translate into 20 languages, but I'm stuck with the character limit. How can we fix this?localized_strings: must be less than 4000 characters

App user id

What is to stop someone sharing their app user id with a friend and so gaining the entitlements? In other words, how do we know whether it’s the same user legitimately using the app on a second device, or a different user illegitimately user the app on their device?

Automatic Renewal event after App-Reinstall has only anonymous app user id

Hi, really loving RevenueCat!I have the following situation:Android App I initialize Purchases SDK in the AndroidApplication class with an anonymous User ID User logs in → I log in the user into the purchases SDK → User has an anonymous ID + my domain user IDThe problem happens, when the following happens:The user purchases a subscription with automatic renewal The user uninstalls the app and then installs it again The next time the webhook calls my backend for the renewal, it will contain ONLY an previously unknown anonymous ID and no way for me to match it to the userThe main problem stems from this I believe:Current App User ID Provided App User ID already exists? Provided App User ID has anonymous alias? Result Anonymous Yes Yes PurchaserInfo changes to Provided ID, no aliases created.  My solution is to manually alias the current app user Id every time a user logs in IF the current app user id is an anonymous one. Is RevenueCat aware of purchases/updates made using the in-App-Purchase API?

When I submit my iOS app for App Review, they are able to verify a purchase, but when they want to verify an expired purchase, it keeps failing with an error. In return they keep sending me a message about including the in-App Purchase API which I haven’t included in the version they are testing. I was thinking about adding it to a new version but I’m unsure about something. The user makes the initial purchase via RevenueCat and it’s successful. Later on the user wants to check on that purchase because either it’s expired or they want to cancel it, but using the code below, there is an error. Instead of showing an error, I present the in-App Purchase API(example below), and the user cancels/updates a purchase through there, will RevenueCat be notified via the Apple Server to Server notification settings I use the following to get an offering and present the system actionSheet:let productID = “...”Purchases.shared.getOfferings { [weak self](offerings, error) in    if let error = error a

Issues with Purchases Rest API Internal Server Error

PROBLEMAfter I create a stripe.checkout.sessions.create(), I take the sessionID to make a REST API request to RevenueCat. But I keep getting this internal server error, after checking through all of it. Apple Search Ads ad group and campaign data outside of Charts view

Hello,Is it possible to get Apple Search Ads campaign and ad group name/id data other than in Charts view? I see that in Charts view I can segment by both ad group name and campaign name. But the same data is not available in Customers view and I also don't see it in "Exports". If you don't provide this data directly due to some reason please let me know which of integrations/webhooks will.

Modifying Purchases.sharedInstance.finishTransactions when necessary: Is it Safe?

I'm implementing subscriptions in my app using RevenueCat; however, I had already implemented consumable products, validating them on my server.When I added RevenueCat to the project, I noticed that when a consumable product was purchased, it was automatically consumed, and when the user visited the purchase verification screen (to consume it and gain the content), an error occurred on my server because the purchase had already been consumed by RevenueCat.I discovered that I can use Purchases.sharedInstance.finishTransactions = false to handle consumable logic as before. However, by doing this, I'll need to manage subscription logic on my server as well, and that's not what I want.After running some tests, I think I found a way to handle this. Let me explain what I did:When I initialize RevenueCat, I call Purchases.sharedInstance.finishTransactions = false. Not receiving 'TRANSFER' webhook

Hello RC Community  This morning in production we hit our first “Restore Purchase” scenario and hit a few hicups.We had a user sign up for a subscription, then immediately sign into another account on our app. (So two users on OUR app, using one apple ID) They triggered the restore purchase behavior (our app is currently set to ‘Transfer Purchases’) and we did see a TRANSFER event for both of these users in the dashboard - but did NOT receive a webhook. Looking at the RC dashboard we can see: User 1 started a subscription (We got the INITAL_PURCHASE webhook successfully) User 1 got a transfered event (Transfered to User 2’s ID) User 1 lost all their entitlements/subscriptions User 2 got all of their entitlements & subscriptions The problem we are hitting is that we keep record of subscriptions on our end using the recommended method in the docs: to refresh a user’s data whenever we receive a webhook. BUT we didn’t receive a TRANSFER webhook for EITHER of these users, so now our dat

Is freemium model mandatory for subscription based apps in app stores?

Hey RevenueCat community,I’d like to ask for some guidance related to app monetization. Is it mandatory for a subscription-based app to provide free functionality? Or an app could be paid-only with a limited free trial after which an app’s functionality is not accessible?

Refund not showing in customer history but shows in customer's iTunes account

checking user subscription status with custom app id

Hi there,currently i am trying to implemented revenuecat to my flutter app. it was awesome and going so well. I am using custom app id and get the id from google sign in. Apple Family Sharing doesn't work

Hello,  Platform: iOS (Swift).  Based on: https://www.revenuecat.com/blog/engineering/implement-apple-family-sharing and https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/apple-family-sharing  We’ve enabled Family Sharing: set up in App Store Connect ✅ Initialize the SDK as early as possible in your app flow so that transactions in the queue are detected right away. ✅ On the sandbox we tested the following with correct result: Purchase a subscription. Let it expire naturally. Go to Settings > App Store > Sandbox Account > Manage Subscriptions > and subscribe again. This will generate a new transaction that shows up in the queue as soon as you re-open the app. Paywall disappeared as expected ✅We also implemented Restore purchase. ✅ Yet on App Store family members who access the app see the paywall and restore purchase doesn’t help. ❌ We are looking for an advice about what we may be missing here?

Payment denied within Play Store

Hello,Our custromer tried to subscribe to our app and had an error message in French "Transaction Denied" when she tried to proceed payment within Play Store (French location).The customer tried to delete and re-install the app and also tried to reset the bank detail for no better result. Android users have to restore purchase after updating the app

We’ve just issued an update to our app yesterday.We’re getting support requests every hour from customers who were on a subscription or free trial. Their subscription is not applied to the app after the update, so they are angry and think we’ve taken their subscription away!To fix it, we just ask them to do a restore purchases. Works every time.Can anyone think why this is happening?What can we do to fix it so we don’t get hammered on support?

In app purchases work fine on iOS, but getting the following error on android: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'INAPP'

How can I change my plan?You can change your plan at any time from your RevenueCat account plan page. ‍See our Fair Billing Policy for more info about upgrading and downgrading plans. Why don't I see all the premium features for my app after I've upgraded?If you've upgraded your account but don't see the premium features (like charts) for your app, ensure that you are the app owner and not a collaborator. Only the app owner can manage billing. If you've upgraded your account as a collaborator by accident, don't worry - you'll only be billed if you're the owner of a live app so you can simply downgrade back to 'Build' and never be charged. If you were in fact billed by accident, contact us. How can I migrate off of RevenueCat?We hate to see you go, but if you need to migrate off of RevenueCat we'll happily export all of the receipt files we've collected. Can I turn off auto-renew for a customer?

tl;dr: Is there any way for me to turn off the auto-renewing, so the subscription ends after a month? Hello,I have a pretty small app, so I’m still pretty new to RevenueCat.I get slack messages when certain things happen in my app such as new accounts created, subscriptions or trial starts, accounts deleted, etc. I got a notification that user xyz created an account. Great. Then they started a monthly subscription. Even better! Then I got a notification that they deleted their account. I was going to get their email from firebase to let them know they started an auto-renewing subscription, but since they deleted their account I don’t have any way of contacting them. I don’t want this person to waste a few dollars a month on an app that they don’t even have an account for anymore. Is there any way for me to turn off the auto-renewing, so the subscription ends after a month? I am also afraid of this user realizing this after a few months and leaving my app a poor review.ThanksBrad

40-45% Billing Error

Hi!I recently launched a hard paywall in my app and have had a fair few people each day sign up to the 3 day free trial.Around 55% of users remain after the 3 day trial but I am finding that when it ends around 40-45% of the remaining users are running into 'billing errors' meaning they end up not paying at the end of the trial despite never cancelling.The app does target a younger audience, but this still feels way too high. Has anyone come across this issue before at such a high % and if so, is there anything we can do to try and improve this number?Thank you!

Subscriber get returning a 401

When I test the /subscribers/{app_user_id} endpoint on the API reference page using my public key, I get a 200 response.However, when I run the same code from my Node cloud function, I consistently get back a 401.Any ideas as to why this is?

Why might Offerings on Device be empty even though REST API returns results?
