In-app purchase consumed in Android?

Hi,I have migrated from Android Billing to RevenueCat.Many users have an In-App product for a lifetime purchase, so, this purchased is never consumed. The users can use the app in several devices. Some users are having troubles to detect this purchase with RevenueCat.My cuestion, does RevenueCat consumes the in-app purchases by default or each time is read from Google servers?Thanks

User can purchase different offering with the same store account

I need help with the following scenario:User with userId x logs into my app, he is taken to the subscriptions page where he can choose from 3 offerings: monthly, 6 months and annual subscription. Let’s say he subscribes to the monthly. A webhook event is sent to my backend and now user with id x also shows with an active sub in my backend database. User with userid y logs into my app from the same store account as user x. Basically the same user with the same phone, same google/ios account but different application accounts. Now user y, does not have a sub so he is also taken to the subscription page and offered to subscribe to the same 3 offerings. If he chooses to purchase the same offering as the one that user x purchased, he will get an error saying that he cannot subscribe again to this offering. However, if he chooses a 6 months or annual offering, he is able to subscribe. A webhook event is sent to my backend and now user with id y also shows with an active subscription.The prob

Merging different projects into a single project

I have been looking around at the other topics of creating subscriptions across multiple apps and the general consensus is that each app would have to be in a single project to allow for it to work. My question though is if we were to migrate all of our existing apps (each app is currently in its own project) into one project, would the existing IAPs and subscriptions be retained? We don’t want to negatively impact any of our current users / subscribers so just wondering the best way to go about this.

Are Mac App Store purchases broken?

Some users complained that they can’t subscribe to my Mac app. After initiating the process they need to verify the credit card purchase, but then they only see an empty screen and nothing happens. Is this a known issue?

how to integrate a consumable product with an edge function

Hi community, in my app i want to sell tickets, that allow users to generate a new game. The game’s content will be created by an edge function that calls a third party API. I read the documentation, but I am not sure about how to integrate this. I want to check if the user is entitled to generate the game not only in the app but inside the edge function as well, to prevent bad actors to abuse the edge function which would result in a bill on my end (the third party API costs money) . What would be the best approach to achive this?

Entitlement Status is Always Showing Active

How many subsicriptions are are a reasonable upper limit to have?

Hello everybody I am working on a MVP and evaluating RevenueCat for our usecase.  We will be launching with an iOS and Android app. The current business plan is to add many new subscriptions over time, each subscription giving access to a different digital experience/products.Initially this will be 5 or 6, but if successful it will qiuckly become dozens or even hundreds.  How many subscrptions have people maintained in both stores using RevenueCat?  Does anybody know if there are hard limits? I am worried about starting down an impossible path!  Any advice/experience in this area would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Chris

Past events arrives in webhooks

Hello, we experienced recently, that INITIAL_PURCHASE webhook was sent just at 2024-11-01 wenn he opened the app, despite the actual event already happend at 2022-10-22We implemented RevenueCat (onboarding script) in app after two years of using own solution for IAP. So is this proper behaviour, when submission was made way before RC was implemented ? Thank you very much for info.Michal

User ID and restoring purchases from Anonymous ID

Hello! I am architecting the backend for a mobile application and despite reading through a lot of documentation posts, I feel I’m going in circles trying to grasp some subtle points and would love to get some answers before committing a lot of development. So I understand the basics of user IDs and anonymous user ids. Our app will ONLY allow users to login (and get an explicit User ID recorded in our database) AFTER a purchase.No problem: users get an anonymous ID, they sign in and we assign them a new, unique App User ID, which we record, and use login() to associate with their RC account. The question happens when the same user logs into a fresh device (or reinstalls). They get a new anonymous ID upon starting up, but then what happens when they “Restore purchases”?My hope is that we would be able to get access to the previously assigned App User ID. However, the documentation for Restoring Purchases mentions:If an anonymous ID restores and the owner of the receipt is an identified

Find identify accounts with multiple aliases

Hello,We've noticed that many users might be sharing IDs to access our services for free. We would like to identify these accounts, especially those with a number of aliases that exceed a certain limit, as we are considering disabling them in bulk.Could you please advise if there is a way to do this? A batch process would be preferable for efficiency.Thank you for your help with this issue.

How to configure in-app purchase of non-consumable feature - entitlement or no?

I am building a game app for iOS/Android where a user can purchase individual levels of the game or subscribe to have unlimited access to all. The levels are typically all priced the same so I currently only have 1 product created on the app store for iOS. Can I use that one product to entitle the correct level in the app for the user utilizing revenuecat or do I need to create a new product for each individual level?Right now there are only about a dozen levels, but I expect to get to hundreds over the next 6 months. My plan was if I were to offer a premium tier of levels that cost more as an in-app purchase I would create a new product, but if all of the levels cost the same I was trying to save myself the hassle of creating a new product for each new level.Is it possible to manage which level users should have access to based on a single product purchase? How would that work? I searched through documentation to try and figure this out myself, but if I missed some key documentation I

App store review demo credentials

I don't get it. App store 5.1.1(v) says we can't require users to log in to use the app. I've read rejection cases where the issue was log in prompt before letting the user access the paywall. It's okay for me, purchases and subscription status are handled based on the appleID of the device. I don't want to use login system at all, but then how do i provide app store reviewers with demo credentials? Do i have to set up a login system that is not mandatory just for the reviewer to access paid content?

What's the best way start using RevenueCat to ensure I take care of users who have paid for the app already?

I currently have an app that costs $20 to download and then requires a simple account creation login process. I would like to move the app to be free, still require login, but then put certain screens behind a subscription paywall. I would also like the few hundred people who have already paid $20 to have lifetime access for free.Before I go ahead building out this - I want to check if this is possible with RevenueCat and how I should proceed. Transfer flow from User that has multiple subscriptions

Hi,I have an application where users can have multiple subscriptions.I'm enabling Transfer flow in order to transfer one subscription from one user to another (same person with another account) but looking at the documentation it doesn't say anything that can be done for users who have multiple subscriptions. Is this possible to do?I would like to know how Revenuecat manages multiple subscriptions in the same user to get the one that interests me and transfer it to the other account.Thanks,Adria

Google Play - How to add yearly subscription plan to exsiting monthly subscription plan

I'm aware that this community is highly interested in matters related to Google Billing, so I'd like to seek your valuable input on the following topic.Ever since the introduction of Google Play Billing Library 5, a concept of a 'base plan' has been included in Subscriptions.A single subscription can have multiple base plans. These base plans can be set up for either monthly or yearly billing.Currently, we have an existing monthly subscription plan.If we want to introduce a yearly subscription plan, here's what we need to consider."Add base plan" in existing subscription plan. Use ProductDetails to perform subscription. However, our legacy code haven't adopted ProductDetails. We are still using legacy SkuDetailsI was wondering, is it OK for us toAdd a completely new subscription plan for the yearly plan. Non-refundable subscription

Hello everyone,The subscription method within my application provides certain benefits as soon as a user subscribes within the app. When a user subscribes, they gain specific advantages that set them apart from other users. The issue arises when a user requests a refund after using the subscription for 1-2 days, causing damage to my application. How can I prevent this?

Play Store rejection due to Broken Feature Policy Violation

Hello, I’m developing app using flutter and revenucat for google and apple. btw, my app has been ok for several month in production.but suddenly from this month, google rejected my app due to Broken Feature Policy Violation.And they sent me screenshot from app.picture has my dialog describes there’s no package can fetch.it appear usually in emulator, not in production or internal test in real device.I think they consider not showing subscription option in emulator is Broken Feature. Can anyone help me to get approve?It really makes me frustrated :(

Can you override the offering for certain customers in bulk?

We have a triggered override for some users when they meet certain criteria to present them a sale offering. But when we changed the default offering, we want these customers to see the same default offering. It seems that those that are on the triggered offering maintain that offering, even when the default offering has been updated.
