Need more documentation about API usage

I went backand forth inside documentation about how my backend with in shole flow.Please add explanation on how my backend register user id and check payment/subscription statusAs far as I understand frontend app need to get RevenueCat customer id via SDK  Send that ID to backend to save. Assuming RevenueCat customer ID does not change, Our backend should keep track of it. When user does action All kind of Webhook will send request to my backend. Somehow we have to figure out RevenueCat customer ID from webhook request params. ( which I could not do ) Then we have to call REST API /subscriptions. https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/customers/customer-info#web-apps But it is not documented About step 1, here answer says webhook is suggestion. Is there any other ways?About step 2, link mention send customer id everytime to backend. But no documentation about why. Does it change everytime?. Can’t we just save it first time?. What about my backend cronjobs? they can’t take this id from fronten

Issue with Google Real-Time Developer Notifications in Latest Release

Hi, I am currently using RevenueCat in my Flutter app, which has been successfully released on both the Apple Store and Google Play. In-app purchases are functioning correctly on both platforms, and there are no issues with the latest releases.However, I am facing a challenge exclusively with the Android version: specifically, the configuration of the "Google Real-Time Developer Notifications". Although all other setup steps have been completed successfully and validated, I encounter an error when attempting to complete this final step.Attached are the necessary screenshots from the RevenueCat dashboard, confirming that all steps preceding this one have been completed without issue, and from the Google Play Console, highlighting the error encountered during the test notification process.Your assistance in resolving this specific issue would be greatly appreciated. I have been blocked on this issue for a few days now.thanks

Custom trial plan without Apple subscription.

Hi.Is it possible to create a custom trial plan that dont require any card submission and wont try to automatically switch to payed plan once trial is ended? The point is to offer a confident free of charge usage of all premiem features without subsribing to Apple InApp which auto switch to payed plan and charges after trial.

Questions about PRO and SCALE plan

Hi there, Sorry i looked already on the community but i couldn’t find the exact answer. From my understanding RevenueCat is free if my monthly intake are lower than 2500$, when i reach more than 2500$ i’ll be charged the 1% of the whole.My question is, when do i need to switch to the Scale Plan? Is there a limit for the free plan, for example: it automatically switches to Scale Plan when I reach 3500£ MRR ? From my understanding, i can choose PRO plan forever, doesn’t matter how much MRR i make, or it will automatically switches to SCALE plan once i reach a certain limit? Thank you very much,

Urgent help needed - PurchaseNotAllowedError(3, "The device or user is not allowed to make the purchase.")

We are currently facing an issue with our mobile application, on payment rejections for subscriptions paid in Brazilian Real (BRL). This problem has persisted for approximately four months and exclusively affects payments made in BRL, as payments in USD and other currencies process without issue. To aid in your investigation, here are some details from our recent analysis: Technical Details1. Error Code: PurchaseNotAllowedError(3, "The device or user is not allowed to make the purchase.")2. Error details: debugMessage: '', code: 'E_SERVICE_ERROR',responseCode: 3 }3. Details: This was tested in app, on emulators. Also using test and real credit cards. Have you seen this error before? I dug through forums but wasn't able to locate a solution.

Getting the linkedPurchaseToken returned by the google play store

Hi,We wanted to use Google’s cancel subscription API and need the token (linkedPurchaseToken) for the same.Our Android app makes purchases as per this documentation.Checked the payload that of the request that is made when a purchase event happens but don’t see it there. Is there any way we can get linkedPurchaseToken when a purchase is made? Thanks

What will happen if we remove a product or entitlement

Currently, we have Monthly, 6 Months and 1 Year plans and we offer 7 days trial period. And we want to remove Monthly plan. There are some users has already subscribed for 1 month. Some of them are in free trial for 1 month, some of them completed free trial and bought the Monthly (renewable) product. My questions are: If user already subscribed for Monthly plan and if we remove monthly plan from RevenueCat what will happen? Will user continue using remaning days of 1 month? After the completing remaining days how app will reflect to this? Will they be asked by 6 months and 1 year plans? If we change 7 days free trial to 3 days free trial, what will happen? Are the subscribed users will continue remaining days of 7?

What's the duration string?

Incomplete documentation on https://www.revenuecat.com/docs/api-v1-spec#tag/entitlements?In the “duration” section, it says “See below for possible values.” but I’m struggling to find it. Am I missing something?

Does RevenueCatUI.PaywallFooterContainerView return a promise

I was just wondering what <RevenueCatUI.PaywallFooterContainerView> returns. I would like to use this if a promise or listener is available to use my own global subscription state. I'm aware of PAWALL_RESULT, but how can I use it with the <RevenueCatUI.PaywallFooterContainerView>. And if for whatever reason, I can’t use <RevenueCatUI.PaywallFooterContainerView> to return the promise and I must use RevenueCatUI.presentPaywall(), how can I hide the footer. Thanks

How to handle consumable IAPs without offerings, entitlements etc?

I have some IAP consumables in the app store, I am implementing RC to expand to android and web.. I handle my consumable with storekit2 successfully like this:customer buys the IAP after the transaction is succesful then I add the credits to userdefaults or coredata user use the credits and I manage the counter in the app when counter is 0 then trigger IAP again I am confused how to do this in RC, I assume I just create a product and do not attach offering, entitlements etc?I just want RC to handle the payment, tell me the customer actually paid and then I’ll handle the rest

Close Button is Not Visible on Android

I am using react-native-purchases-ui. In my code, I have explicitly set displayCloseButton: true when calling the presentPaywallIfNeeded function. The close button is shown successfully on iOS with the teal color. However, on Android, it is not visible at all.  I am using: “expo”: “49.0.17”,"react-native": "0.72.6","react-native-purchases": "7.21.0","react-native-purchases-ui": "7.21.0", See examples:ANDROID Android Paywall (no close button)​​​​iOS

iOS RevenueCat migration using transaction ID?

Hello,I have an iOS app with existing subscribers and I want to migrate to RevenueCat. Unfortunately, I have not saved the base64-encoded receipt files, but I have saved the iOS transaction IDs that allows a lookup of subscriber data from Apple’s App Store Server API. Is there any migration path that supports using this information? I’m aware of the client-side migration path but would prefer a server-side path. Thanks,Alan

In a nutshell, same story as in the other post, but now I'm hitting the 14000 limit as well. E.g. in English:I would not say it's too much info, especially given that Google would not approve the app without this extra info.

Help on major data discrepancy

I am looking for others with possible solutions as I’m seemingly running into brick walls elsewhere.I have been happily running two products with both IAPs and subscriptions through RevenueCat for past four months with no problems.Last Tuesday the purchase data (subscriptions appear fine) for both products has almost halved when viewed through RevenueCat. App Store Connect and other sources check out fine, RC however is missing between 30-60pc of data from In App Purchases. My own code or implementation has not changed or updated in the past month.Having reported this to RC a week ago, beyond the usual links to documentation around discrepencies I have not had any helpful response or little to encourage me that anyone is actually looking at this.Therefore I’m here trying to find or understand different approaches to solving this issue wherever it may lie. For my part I’m not losing any money on it but RC as a solution, bar the paywall, is now largely useless without the real time data.

Cannot locate Apple Purchases

Hello, My company works with RevenueCat for Google and Apple payments, and while I can find Google Payments inside RevenueCat with some specific info (GPA number, for example), I cannot do so with Apple Payments. Usually, customers send us the receipt for the purchase, but we always send them to Apple to locate their account, causing the users to be very frustrated about our support. Is there a way to locate those purchases, and if so, how to do it? What info is necessary? Cheers

Any recommended approach when you have to disable a subscription and migrate all the existing customers?

Due to a mistaken configuration, we currently have 9 subscriptions for each store. Except for duration, products are similar in terms of benefits offered, while in some cases price can change in a 5% of the overall regions. We would like to disable all the useless subscriptions we are offering and maintain only one annual plan and one monthly plan. I know that current iOS subscribers of the disabled plans won’t have the possibility to renew anymore, while for Android users it depends from a renewal setting. Is there any suggested (and legal) process to follow in order to migrate these customers to one of the existing plans we want to maintain? I am thinking of a communication that their plan will convert in legacy and that they can subscribe to one of the available options. I read about price changes that can work for the 5% mentioned above, but in many cases the price will be maintained so this is not our case. I am interested in both App Store and Play Console approaches, thanks!

Proactive restoring

Users started complaining that they need to click "Restore Purchase" when installing on a new device. They say they don't have to do it in other apps (also without login, on Android). Are there any risks or drawbacks with running for instance syncPurchases the first time the app is started on a new device?syncPurchases on Android?Would it work in this scenario? So if there is not a receipt on the device, it definitely won’t work (still silently).But in production there is always a receipt when downloading the app from the App Store, right?Wouldn’t that mean that syncPurchases should work fine to restore proactively?restorePurchases on iOS?Could trigger a login prompt - not good.

I’m trying to use v2 API but the https://api.revenuecat.com/v2/projects/{project_id}/customers endpoint it’s failing with “no_resource_found” error.Already enabled everything on API Keys settings (nothing to enable on customer permissions, just metrics and projects).Also can’t find a way to add customer_information:customers:read permission. Any clues?

How to verify a user subscription in the backend without user accounts/authentication

Hey,I am very new to everything involving in-app purchases, so sorry if this is a somewhat confused question. I am building an app (iOS/macOS only) that involves making calls to some AI tools through a custom backend that I am building as well.  I would love to not force users to create accounts at all, since purchases are done and identified through the user’s Apple ID anyways, so there’s no immediate need to. I could just let them use the app as anonymous users. However, I need some way for the backend to know if an incoming request is made by a user with an active subscription. I searched online for quite a bit, but haven’t found this exact problem yet.  From what I read in the documentation, there might be a way to do this, by sending the users App ID (generated by the RC SDK) to the backend on each request and have the backend call the RC API with that App ID to check the subscription status. I have not tested this because I am not at the stage of development yet.  I just wanted t

How can I force close the purchase sheet on mobile on a timeout or in general?

Hello,I'm working on a Flutter app with an in-app purchases. I'm looking for a solution to automatically close the purchase sheet after a specified amount of time. I’ve dug around and there doesn’t appear to be any obvious way of closing the sheet?Just in general it doesn’t seem there is any way of closing the app, causing the sheet to stay open indefinitely even if the user signs out or background the app, until they click the “x” or just outside the sheet.  Thank you!
